So I am heading to New Zealand on Saturday the 1st of November. I will be spending a few days in Christchurch before heading down to McMurdo base which is technically on Ross Island off the coast of Antarctica, but there is only ice between McMurdo and Antarctica, so it's Antarctica in my book.
