Flight to the South Pole

This is looking towards the rear of the aircraft, with all of our gear on the ramp.

You can see the toilet on the left of this shot, it wasn't used in flight though.

This shot is looking towards the front of the LC-130. There is a urinal behind the curtain on the right at the front of the plane.

While they made sure we didn't have any sharp objects on us, they did leave the ax on the flight in case we needed to cut our way out of the aircraft.

A nice shot of my forearm with the cockpit in the background.

Their view. Not only were there more windows, but the glass was a lot cleaner.

I'm hoping to get a better shot of the flow of a glacier flowing down from the Plateau on the return trip, but we'll see. The glaciers really do look like rivers from a plane.
